Brandon's Birthday Week!

My handsome husband celebrated his birthday on the 29th. We have a little tradition for birthdays: Birthday Week! A week full of daily celebrations, here are some of the things we did this year:

* Frankie and I went to cheer Brandon on at his softball game. Afterwards we headed to Dairy Queen.
 * We went out mini golfing with Mark, Jaclyn, David, and Kelsey. It was Mark's birthday and we had a really fun time. I even got a hole in one!
He is so handsome!
 * Celebrated with my family. I made Tres Leche cake per Brandon's request!
  Blowing out the candles!
Bradley and his sweet uncle, they are the best of buds!
* Went out to one of our favorite places: Happy Sumo, and stuffed our bellies with delicious sushi!
*Went on a beautiful hike in Provo Canyon with friends and our pups.
Frankie and Buckley tired themselves out!
Frankie
Made a new friend while hanging out by the creek.
*I took Brandon to a RSL game! We got to see three goals and a fantastic win for the home team!
It was such a wonderful night!
It was fun to celebrate Brandon all week! He is such a wonderful man and I am so grateful to have him in my life! I am so blessed to be his wife! He is kind, patient, loving, sweet, and he always takes the best care of me! I am the luckiest gal! He is my everything and I love him more than I can express! Thanks for being mine! I love you!

Feels Like Lightning Running Through My Veins

I can't believe the warmth outside! It has been a wonderful spring in the Farmer household. Brandon's cousin got married March 29th and we got to attend his wedding reception just down the street form our house.
The following morning, we got our running shoes out and participated in a 5K fundraiser run for Nick. Nick is Brandon's cousin that has been in a hospital since January. He suffered a heart arrhythmia that deprived his brain of oxygen, this caused an anoxic brain injury.
Jaclyn brought her camera and documented the whole event! Look at this sleepy faced bunch.
The turnout was incredible! The event was full of people who know Nick and it was so touching to see everyone coming together to support Nick and his family!
Everyone that came, got to sign a HUGE poster at the finish line!
We all love Nick and wish him a speedy recovery!
 Breakfast post 5K run.
First family photo. Frankie got to join us after we finished the run. We had a wonderful time and it was good to run for an amazing cause!

Ski Day

Few weeks back, Brandon and I were given some day passes to Deer Valley. We were going to have a little ski date, but I hurt my back few days prior and wasn't able to go. Brandon decided to take his dad while he was in town and they had a blast!
 Handsome Farmer men!
 Beautiful Deer Valley
 The Montage
They took a break and had a delicious lunch at The Cabin.
Paul and Brandon taking a break to enjoy the view.

They had a wonderful time shredding the mountain!

And All The Lights Are Changing Red To Green

Hello 2013! Aren't you so sweet and sparkly clean! Just like most people at the beginning of the year, I make resolutions. Sometimes I start early and make my resolutions on my birthday, but not this year! One of the things I wanted to do this year is to keep fostering puppies from Furburbia. This is something both Brandon and I love to do.

I decided to jump on my resolution early and went to Furburbia after work on a Thursday, early January. They had 6 puppies and none of them had a home for the night, so I took one home. She was so sweet and cuddly. Brandon and I both fell in love with her, but we both knew she was going back to Furburbia. Friday morning I left for work and Brandon was going to take puppy back later in the day. Yeah...... that didn't happen. I came home and Brandon gave me a big hug, while he was hugging me I herd little yelps/ whimpers coming from our back room. I just started crying like a little child and ran to the room where a puppy was more than happy to see me! Brandon told me we could keep her! I was beyond thrilled!!!! My husband got me a puppy!!!

Meet Frankie! She is a little ball of love and sweetness! She is such a good dog and has learned lots of fun tricks.
First week home. She was so tiny!
Snuggling with Whistler on her super comfortable bed.
Getting some Noodles & Co. on a date night.
First time getting groomed. She gave non stop licks to this sweet lady.
We are loving this new little family member! She is a beauty! Thank you Brandon for getting me a dog!

See Ya 2012

Brandon and I had a wonderful Christmas! We got to spend time with both of our families and I don't think there is a better way to celebrate. We followed tradition in the Farmer home and built ginger bread houses. Ours was complete with a white fluffy bunny, light post, sparkly fence, and a ginger man murder. Of course we consumed more candy than we actually used in the building/ decorating process.
Elder Farmer called us Christmas day! It was so wonderful to see and talk to him. I can't believe he will be home this year! Can't wait to see little Farmer!
We celebrated New Years by staying up late, doing puzzles, and kissing at midnight!

2012, you were good to us!

Scheels and Other Adventures

I can't believe Thanksgiving is already come and gone and Christmas is almost here!  We were able to spend Thanksgiving with both of our families. While Brandon's parents were in town we ventured out to Scheels, the new sporting goods store in Sandy. We had fun taking pictures in the awkward photo stalls they had:
:
"It's right behind me?! Isn't it?"
You can't see it very well but this room was full of animal heads and guns, lots of guns.
 Brandon bought a monster truck.
 And a rifle.
Salt Lake Temple lights.
Love. Us.
The Christmas gnome is out, he finally has a home again! #ChristmasTreeDecorating
I made Mango Sticky Rice - yumm....
Brandon found the "Stringham family zucchini" in my parents garden.

It was a wonderful Thanksgiving break! We are so grateful for our wonderful families and for the time we were able to spend with one another.

Sarah

My beautiful little sister turned 18 this month! I can't believe how quickly time flew. It feels like just yesterday I was meeting her for the first time. She was 4!!! She is my buddy and my friend. Even though she is my little sister, she is a huge example to me. She is the sweetest person you will ever meet. She is always kind, thoughtful, and always putting others before herself. Sarah, you are fantastic! I love you to the moon and back!

October, According To Brandon's Phone

I think everyone can agree with me that Fall was absolutely stunning this year.  It's a but sad that I don't have a single picture of it. Oh well there is always next year.

Brandon and I enjoy trying new restaurants/ diners/ eateries. Sometimes they are great and sometimes not so much. We are not picky eaters, so this is kind of fun for us and we don't get sick of eating at same places. This month we gave Dickeys a try. It's little BBQ joint. It was not too bad. Best part is you got to serve yourself an ice cream cone. I love ice cream so I was sold. Oh and they also have a huge pickle jar you can take a pickle from. I helped myself to some ice cream, but passed on the pickle jar. Maybe another day when I'm feeling extra brave.
Halloween was fun! Everyone at my work dressed up! I rocked my "Where's Waldo" costume. Later that evening we had a party to go to and I put together a last minute costume of "Rosie The Riveter". Brandon was a robber. He wanted to make sure my costume was perfect, that included taking me to a store and buying me a bright red lipstick.
Brandon's mission friends came to visit us. Jeff, Carly, and sweet little Sammy. We had a blast exploring Salt Lake!
We visited downtown, City Creek, Conference Center, and got to do a lot of tours that Brandon and I haven't done in ages.
We drove up the Little Cottonwood Canyon and saw the area where granite for the temple was taken. Jeff and Carly though it was the neatest place.
We finished off their visit by visiting the Salt Lake Temple. We will miss they for sure and their sweet little family.
Brandon never ceases to amaze me. He is the best at little surprises! This is what I came home to one day. What a great way to end the evening after a long day of work.
